This little piggy went to market,
This little piggy stayed home,
This little piggy had roast beef,
This little piggy had none.
And this little piggy cried,
“Wee, wee, wee” all the way home!
At the heart of this project is the correlation of our own bodies to those of the piglets. The nursery rhyme rather charmingly swaps out a baby’s toes for the five piggies. But also uses the distraction of learning a skill (to count ones toes) to perpetrate the inevitable and predictable betrayal (the tickling). This Little Piggy will be a portrait of each piglet and the people around it. But like the nursery rhyme, we will anticipate the inevitable end.
